Two Ceremonies at Meridian Council
 
In early March Meridian Council held their meeting at Preston Masonic Hall.

The Master, David Rotheram welcomed all the members and guests, a particular welcome was extended to his colleges in Office, Stephen Pemberton, Master of Garnett Council, and Eric Picton, Master of Palatine Council, although both of these Brethren are also members of Meridian Council.
 
Nearly thirty Allied Masons were present to witness Peter Wiltshire being admitted to the Degree of St Lawrence the Martyr, this well worked Ceremony was conducted by Eric Picton assisted by other Council Members, after which the Lecture was presented by Geoff Catterall.

Following that ceremony, Peter was then created a Knight of Constantinople, this Ceremony was conducted by David Rotheram, assisted by an enthusiastic Deacon, none other than Eric Picton; the Lecture was presented by the Council secretary Gordon Ivett.
 
Before the meeting closed the District Prefect Paul Snape congratulated and thanked everyone who had taken part in both Ceremonies for the high standard of their work, wishing them all future success.

In reply W.Bro. David Rotheram thanked the District Grand Prefect for his generous comments, and then he thanked everyone present for their encouragement.
 
In conclusion David then invited the District Grand Prefect and all present to join him at dinner.
